Summary

IN-HOUSE TRAINING COURSES (Client venue)

Applies to Customised or Standard Events

These terms and conditions apply to all courses which are none scheduled event courses. These include courses arranged for single establishments, individuals or regional groups at delegates’ centre location.

 

  • Centre will provide a safe and suitable environment to deliver training.
  • Centre will provide ALL hardware and software required to deliver training.
  • Centre will be responsible for printing all course materials. Unless otherwise agreed before the event.
  • Cost will be determined by the number of delegates and duration of the course (customised events)
  • Centre Training must be paid in full at least 28 days prior to training, unless otherwise agreed.
  • NCC reserves the right to cancel without refund any Centre Training if the environment or facilities are considered unsuitable or dangerous.
  • Bookings may be cancelled by email up to 48 hours before the course date.
  • New Cognition Consulting may invoice the Client for the following course Cancellation Fees, which the Client shall pay within 30 days of date of invoice:

 

Written notice period Cancellation fee
Between 42 and 29 days before Course Date 25% of Course Fee
Between 28 and 15 days before Course Date 50% of Course Fee
14 days or less before Course Date 100% of Course Fee

 

  • NCC reserves the right to cancel any Centre Training due to unforeseen circumstances. Alternative arrangements will be made.
  • Practical kits required for the day will be provided unless otherwise specified.
  • Orders of (take away) practical kits for use on the day of the course should be made at least 14 days prior to the training day. This includes class sets.
  • Where possible NCC trainers will endeavour to meet specific training needs for customised courses. Specific requests not outlined on the course brief should be submitted via email at least 14 days prior to the training day.

 

 

CLASSROOM TRAINING COURSES (Venue or Centre based)

Applies to Customised or Standard Events

These terms and conditions apply to all courses which are external venue based or NCC centre based courses. These include courses arranged for single establishments, individuals or open access events.

  • Delegate places are available strictly on a first come first serve basis.
  • Booking should be made via the NCC website to secure a place.
  • Courses will have a maximum delegate number, unless otherwise agreed with NCC.
  • Event place bookings should be paid for (on receipt of invoice)  after booking the place. Bookings made without payment will be cancelled after 7 days unless otherwise agreed with NCC.
  • Courses are offered subject to minimum number of delegates. Please ask for details.
  • Bookings may be cancelled by email up to 48 hours before the course date.
  • Cancellation Fees and/or Transfer Fees below shall apply to cancellation or rescheduling of any Course by the Client, which the Client shall pay within 30 days of the invoice:

  • In the event of delegate cancellation – credit note will be given and alternative courses offered.
  • Full refunds may be given at the discretion of NCC.
  • NCC reserves the right to cancel any external venue course due to unforeseen circumstances.
  •  In the event of a course being cancelled delegates will be offered another similar course or a refund.
  • Where bookings not made via the NCC website, bookings must be paid in full at least 28 days prior to course date unless otherwise agreed.
  • Practical kits required for the day will be provided unless otherwise specified.
  • Orders of (take away) practical kits for use on the day of the course should be made at least 14 days prior to the training day. This includes class sets.

Accommodation

  • Delegates requiring accommodation at the training hotel should contact NCC at least 14 days prior to the training day.
  • Accommodation will be billed separately.
  • Bookings only include accommodation – Delegates are responsible for all additional costs incurred during their stay.

NCC Solutions terms and conditions

Definitions

NCC Means New Cognition Consulting.
Solution Means programmed task solutions provided by NCC
Registered user Means the person who registered with NCC for the solution or the designated teacher in charge of managing the provided solution.
End user Means the users or establishment associated with the registered user.

1. General provisions

  1. This policy applies to all solutions provided to teachers by NCC.
  2. The Registered user shall take responsibility for the ongoing compliance with this policy.

2. Lawful purposes

  1. Solutions shall be used only for lawful purposes.
  2. Solutions shall not be used for commercial purposes.
  3. Solutions shall not be sold or exchanged for other services.
  4. The registered user is responsible for keeping the solution secure.
  5. The solution shall not be distributed without prior written consent from NCC.

3. Purpose

  1. The solutions are provided to assist teachers only.
  2. The files provide a working solution to aid the teachers in understanding the how a solution may work.
  3. The complete solution should not be shared with the students in either electronic or hard copy form,
  4. The teacher may use sub sections of the overall solution to direct students towards a solution.
  5. The solution is a way of fulfilling the requirements of the task and is not the only way to achieve the objectives. Alternative solutions to the same problem may be available.

4. Security

  1. The Registered user shall ensure that solution is stored securely using modern software that is kept-up-to-date.
  2. Printed solutions shall be kept secure and destroyed when no longer required.
  3. It is recommended the registered user keep a backup of all solution in case of misadventure.

5. Liability

NCC shall not be liable to the End user for any lost profits, lost revenues or opportunities, downtime, or any consequential damages or costs, resulting from any claim or cause of action based on breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, or any other legal theory, even if NCC knew or should have know of the possibility thereof.
